Please log onto the Congress site (http://iufost2011.galoa.com.br/en/ScientificProgram) to see the detailed final scientific program of the 16th World Congress of Food Science and Technology. The program consists of 24 symposia, 9 panel discussions, 12 sessions of oral presentations, 4 ALACCTA sessions, 4 Nanotechnology sessions, 2 industry sessions and 6 poster sessions. Ninety-six submitted research papers will be presented orally and over 2,600 as posters.
FOCUS ON RESEARCH
The response of the Food Science and Technology community worldwide to the Call for Abstracts was tremendous. Two thousand eight hundred and forty abstracts reporting the latest research findings were submitted for oral and poster presentations. Abstracts in Food Processing predominated (493), followed by those in Food Analysis (458), Bioactive Compounds and Functional Foods (362) and Food Engineering (250).
