The program consists of 24 symposia, 9 panel discussions, 12 sessions of oral presentations, 4 ALACCTA sessions, 4 Nanotechnology sessions, 2 industry sessions and 6 poster sessions. Ninety-six submitted research papers will be presented orally and over 2,600 as posters.

In addition to the impressive numbers, the program will feature several notable aspects. There is strong participation from both developing and developed countries, making the Congress truly international. The presence of world-renowned scientists along with young scientists/students represents Food Science and Technology today and tomorrow. The different FST sectors from the academe to the food industry, government agencies to NGOs and private establishments, national to international organizations will be participating. Finally, the program will be a wonderful balance between science and technology and between research and applications.
